Provably secure certificate-based key-insulated signature scheme
نویسندگان
چکیده
Certificate-based signature computation is often performed on insecure devices where the signature key is easy to be exposed. To reduce the influence of key exposure, we introduce key-insulated mechanism into certificate-based cryptography and formalize the notion and security model of the certificate-based key-insulated signature scheme. We then present a certificate-based key-insulated signature scheme, which is proven to be existentially unforgeable against adaptive chosen message attacks in the random oracle model. The proposed scheme has potential applications in trusted computing. Copyright © 2013 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

Intrusion-Resilient Signatures, or Towards Obsoletion of Certificate Revocation
We propose a new notion of intrusion-resilient signature schemes, which generalizes and improves upon both forward-secure [And97, BM99] and key-insulated [DKXY02] signature schemes. Specifically, similarly to the prior notions, time is divided into predefined time periods (e.g., days) so that a signature includes the time period number, changing which invalidates the signature. Also, similarly ...
متن کاملAttribute-Based Threshold Key-Insulated Signature
Key insulation is an important technique to protect private keys. To deal with the signing key exposure problem in attribute-based signature systems, we propose an attribute-based threshold key-insulated signature (ABTKIS) scheme. It strengthens the security and flexibility of existing attribute-based key-insulated signature schemes. Our scheme is provably secure in the standard model (i.e. wit...
متن کاملIdentity-Based Strong Key-Insulated Signature Without Random Oracles
It is a worthwhile challenge to deal with the key-exposure problem in identity-based signatures. To deal with this problem, this paper adopts Dodis, et al.’s key-insulation mechanism to identity-based signature scenarios, and proposes an identity-based key-insulated signature scheme. The proposed scheme enjoys two attractive features: (i) it is strong key-insulated; (ii) it is provably secure w...
متن کاملProvably Secure Generic Construction of Certificate Based Signature from Certificateless Signature in Standard Model
Similar to certificateless cryptography, certificate-based cryptography is another novel public key setting which combines the merits of traditional public key cryptography (PKC) and identity-based cryptography (IBC). Both certificateless cryptography and certificate based cryptography do not have the key escrow problem in identity-based cryptography, and greatly reduce the overhead of certific...
متن کاملA Provably Secure Certificate Based Ring Signature Without Pairing
In Eurocrypt 2003, Gentry introduced the notion of certificate-based encryption. The merit of certificatebased encryption lies in implicit certificate and no private key escrow. This feature is desirable especially for the efficiency and the real spontaneity of ring signature, which involve a large number of public keys in each execution. In this paper, we propose an efficient certificatebased ...
